Rumpelstiltskin Scarf

Hi Crochet Rockers!

I hope you are enjoying my line of Rumpelstiltskin patterns for you...the griddle stitch pattern used creates a pleasing texture perfect for any fabric and any occasion! Enjoy this simple scarf pattern. The scarf pictured was crocheted using Lion Brand's Mandala Sparkle Yarn. This yarn is so soft and cozy with a hint of sparkle woven throughout.

*The griddle stitch is an alternating pattern between SC and DC. Make SC stitches in DC stitches from previous row, then DC in the SC from previous row. Each row should always start with a SC and end with a DC, Chain 1 and turn.

Size: Toddler - Adult (Width x Length) Toddler/1-3 years: 3" x 35" Child/4-10 years: 4.5" x 47" Teen: 6" x 57" Adult: 8" x 69"

Skill Level: Easy

Materials:
baby, worsted or cotton yarn
Yarn/tapestry needle

Hook size: I/5.25 mm Abbreviations: CH = chain SC = single crochet DC = double crochet JOIN = sl st to first stitch of round SL ST = slip stitch Gauge: 4 stitches = 1" 3 rows = 1"

Notes:
Chains do not count as stitches in this pattern.
Join your round to the first dc, not your chain.
Start your first stitch of each round in the same space as your chain.

Finish:
Weave ends into scarf. Add pom-poms to each end if you desire. I think the pom-poms looks especially cute on children's scarves.
Alternatively, you could add tassels or other embellishments.

You did it! Enjoy your cozy new scarf!
