Sizes:
Toddler (18 – 20”): 65 sts (Follow same pattern for child size using 65 sts instead of 70.)
Child (18 – 20”): 70 sts
Teen (18 – 20”): 75 sts
Adult (18 – 20”): 80 sts

Materials: Red Heart With Love in any color
Hook size H/5.00mm
Yarn needle


Gauge: 4 hdc per 1 inch

SC = single crochet
HDC = half double crochet
DC = double crochet
SL ST = slip stitch
RND = round
CC = change color

Instructions:

Chain 70 (75, 80), sl st to 1st chain to form a loop, being careful not to twist.
Rnd 1: Ch 2, hdc in same space, hdc 69 (74, 79) around, sl st to 1st hdc to join. (70,75,80 sts)
Rnds 2 - 5: Ch 2, hdc in same space, hdc 69 (74, 79) around, sl st to 1st hdc to join. (70,75,80 sts)
For toddler or small child, proceed to visor brim after Rnd 5.

Rnd 6: Ch 2, hdc in same space, hdc 69 (74, 79) around, sl st to 1st hdc to join. (70,75,80 sts)
Rnd 7: Ch 2, hdc in same space, hdc 69 (74, 79) around, sl st to 1st hdc to join. (70,75,80 sts)
For child, teen and adult size, proceed to visor brim after Rnd 7.

Row 2: Ch 1, sc 2, hdc 2, *dc 2, 2dc in next, repeat from * 6 times, dc 2, hdc 2, sc 2, sl st to Rnd 5. (40 sts)
Row 3: Ch 1, sc 2, hdc 2, *dc 4, 2dc in next, repeat from * 4 times, dc 4, hdc 2, sc 2, sl st to Rnd 5. (46 sts)

Optional Accent
