Pikachu Inspired Hat Pattern

The Pokemon Go craze hit our house. To be truthful Pokemon cards, cartoon and characters have been hanging around my boys' rooms for ages, since my oldest could say "Pokemon" and ask for the trading cards.

With all the kerfuffle surrounding "Pokemon Go" the past few weeks, my boys both pulled the "Mom, pretty pretty please will you crochet me a Pikachu hat?" and "Please will you make a Poke Ball hat?" and "Oh and please will you make a (fill in the blank with about 50 Pokemon names) hat?"

I totally caved. And I thought you might want to make one too. I've listed the Pikachu Inspired Hat Pattern in my Etsy shop, with the Poke Ball Hat Pattern soon to follow.

If you decide to purchase the pattern I hope you enjoy crocheting your very own Pikachu Inspired Hat. If not, enjoy these goofy pictures of my boys.

Cheers!

Rumpelstiltskin Placemats and Coasters

I am an avid reader and two of my favorite genres are fantasy and fairytales. One of my favorite traditional fairytale stories is Rumpelstiltskin and how he spins straw in to gold. The maiden in the story is smart and learns to be savvy in order to catch Rumpelstiltskin in his own game.

This pattern (sometimes referred to as a sedge stitch) is inspired by Rumpelstiltskin as the stitch pattern creates a rumpled affect and reminds me of the funny name. Thank you so much for trying this pattern. I do hope you enjoy it! If you need any help with my pattern please contact me: crochetrochelle@gmail.com. I am happy to help if you have any questions along the way!
